Audio Projects

From the early days of my career, I found myself captivated by the art of capturing sound. What began as a passion for recording live performances evolved over the decades into a journey through various musical landscapes. In the 1990s, I immersed myself in the intricate world of chamber music. The transition from the raw energy of live concerts to the delicate harmonies of strings and woodwinds was a profound experience.

One of the most transformative projects was at the New Mexico School for the Deaf. We installed giant free-floating floors designed to amplify vibrations, enabling children to feel the music in their bones. Witnessing their faces light up as they connected with sound in a new way was an indescribable joy and a powerful reminder of music’s universal language.

As technology advanced, the 2020s introduced me to the immersive realm of Dolby Atmos. Embracing this cutting-edge technology allowed me to create three-dimensional soundscapes that envelop listeners, making them feel as if they were inside the music itself. Whether working in tiny 8′ x 8′ rooms or expansive venues, the goal remained the same: to bring the purest sound to life.

Every moment spent on a recording project has been sheer bliss. The hours, days, and sometimes weeks dedicated to perfecting a piece never felt like work but rather a profound privilege. I am deeply grateful to every artist who has stepped before my microphones—those who have sung, talked, mumbled, screamed, whispered, and chanted ancient songs. Each voice, each note, has been a thread in the rich tapestry of my life.
