Immersive Audio
Music, Space, and Immersive Listening
Immersive audio is a central part of Channel Light’s work, spanning composition and performance, recording, spatial mixing, and final distribution. Projects include original music, vocal performances, environmental sound design, immersive narration, and experimental spatial productions designed for modern 3D audio environments, including Dolby Atmos. Work is developed through the entire production process — writing, arranging, performing, recording, editing, mixing, and mastering — within studio systems designed for both precision and creative exploration. This includes traditional stereo production as well as evolving workflows for immersive and spatial audio presentation. The goal is not simply to place sound around the listener, but to explore how sound behaves within space itself — as movement, atmosphere, depth, gesture, and physical presence.
Active Dolby Atmos Productions
Channel Light actively produces and releases immersive recordings for modern spatial streaming providers, including Apple Music, Amazon Music, and TIDAL. These productions are fully authored and mixed within immersive studio environments using Dolby Atmos workflows designed for contemporary spatial sound systems. This work moves past theoretical discussion of immersive media into actual production, release, and distribution. The recordings presented here are part of an evolving body of immersive work exploring the relationship between music, voice, space, and perception.

Writing, Performance & Production
Immersive audio production at Channel Light begins long before the final mix. Projects often start through writing, musical development, improvisation, spoken narrative, environmental recording, or visual inspiration. Performances may evolve through multiple stages of experimentation before entering immersive production environments.
The studio supports a range of production methods, including:
- composition and songwriting
- vocal and instrumental performance
- immersive recording and spatial capture
- stereo and Dolby Atmos mixing
- narration and spoken word production
- environmental and atmospheric sound design
- experimental spatial workflows
Each project is approached as a complete listening experience rather than simply a technical audio format.
Studio & Spatial Systems
The immersive production environment at Channel Light combines traditional recording techniques with developing spatial and environmental systems.
This includes:
- Dolby Atmos production workflows
- immersive monitoring environments
- ambisonic and spatial recording techniques
- multi-environment mixing systems
- experimental sound positioning and movement
- integrated audio and visual production workflows
The studio continues to evolve as both a production environment and an experimental space for exploring the future relationship among sound, story, and immersive perception.
Beyond Stereo
Traditional stereo production remains an important foundation of music and sound design. Immersive audio expands this foundation by enabling sound to exist around the listener rather than only in front of them. This creates new possibilities for atmosphere, emotional movement, environmental storytelling, and spatial composition. At Channel Light, immersive production is approached not as a novelty but as an evolving artistic medium that reshapes the relationship among listener, sound, and space.
